"Innovative curriculum, excellent mentorship, excellent and diverse clinical sites, good research"
"Curriculum"
"Flexibility of the administration to suit student needs."
"pass/fail grading for first 2 years; availability of world class research; close proximity to high level biology/engineering research; close collaboration with Cleveland Clinic foundation (which is only improving); excellent balance of hospitals with university hospital, VA, county hospital, and large private hospital (CCF)"
"Excellent lecturers and clinic faculty. Flexibility in the schedule to get the requirements done but also pursue your interests. Lots of extracurricular student activity. VERY diverse student class with regard to race, gender, class, age, religion, and sexual orientation. Good deans of students. Best of all, 4 main hospitals at your fingertips that are all nationally known for research and clinical ability... and Case is the only med school (except for CCLCM) in the city so no other medical students to compete with for rotations. You get your choice of training sites and can spend time at all!"
"none"
"Case is an excellent school that I would recommend to anyone. It will not let you down in terms of an environment to learn in, a great place to get an education, and great colleagues. It has an outstanding reputation in the medical community and was an asset when going through the residency match."

"Generally, very strong. Varies from block to block."
"Fair to decent."
"instructional faculty during pre-clinical years were excellent and gave a lot of priority to making preclinical education important. I would say it was very good, and the faculty were very responsive to student concerns."
"Very good."

"Lottery system across University Hospitals Case Medical Center, Cleveland Clinic, the VA, and MetroHealth for all core rotations (medicine, family medicine, surgery, obstetrics & gynecology, pediatrics, neurology, psychiatry)."
"3rd year broken into 3 cores - although changing soon"
"There are three cores: internal med and surgery; peds, OB/GYN, family medicine; neurology and psychiatry. Those are the required third year rotations."
"required rotations are scheduled in blocks and include: medicine, surgery, family medicine, psychiatry, neurology, OB/GYN and pediatrics Scheduling is performed through an online scheduling system that allows for ranking requests. That is, importance can be assigned to getting a particular site or a particular time. Then students are assigned to their rotation. Clinical required courses are shorter than at many schools, which allows for more advanced rotations prior to applying. This is very helpful to those who might apply for a specialty."
"Experiences vary from site-to-site. Students can get as much or as little responsibility as they want."
"Rounding, some simple procedures"
"Carry patients, scut work."
"medical student responsibilities vary widely by resident/attending and team. Most often, medical students see admitted patients and present them in rounds with assistance of the resident/intern. On surgery, medical students can see consults and scrub cases in the or. Students typically write notes which can be cosigned by residents (a nice way to help reduce their work load)"
"As much as they ask for."
"University Hospitals and Cleveland Clinic are very new. MetroHealth is a bit older and is undergoing renovations soon. Cleveland has a relatively large and well-maintained VA hospital. All have a different feel. Cleveland Clinic is very advanced with minimal exposure to indigent populations. MetroHealth is a county hospital that serves the poorest members of the community typically. UH is somewhere in-between. The VA has a unique experience for students."
"Excellent"
"Excellent."
"all hospitals that students work at are in excellent condition."
"community/county, VA, Non-for-profit/giant group practice (Cleveland clinic) and University Hospital (a university hospital)"
"Anywhere from poor and needy at MetroHealth, to vets at the VA, to big mix of suburban and urban at UH, and to advanced tourism medicine at Cleveland Clinic."
"All populations but mostly indigent"
"African-American."
"One of the strengths of Case is the variety of patients and hospitals: UH- mix of indigent/paying and minorities Metro- greater fraction of indigent and minorities CCF- greatest fraction of paying patients, fewest minorities but greatest complexity of disease VA- typical VA; old dudes that are really nice to medical students"
"From the streets to around the world"

"Go to bars and restaurants, sporting events, Cleveland metroparks"
"Go out to eat, go to bars, go to parks, go to concerts (esp cleveland orchestra)"
"Socialize, drink, play sports"
"decent bar scene; lots of sporting events; some outdoor activities in summer; fair amount of restaurants"
"I think we tend to have a strong reputation. Our match lists speak for themselves."
"We have an excellent reputation"
"We have matched very well in years past."
"When interviewing for residencies the school was well received and well-respected. Overall, the reputation for this school probably falls in the range of top 10-25."
"Highly"
"We are known for churning out students into specialties."
"Radiology"
"Yes, Northeast Ohio and California to a lesser extent."
"Case graduates are known for being strong in clinical areas and typically do well in both internal medicine and specialties. Well known weaknesses are anatomy and pharmacology!"
