"The facilities were very nice, as were the people. I like that facilities are shared with the med students, and that Scholl has inter-disciplinary health professional teams. What impressed you negatively?

"Little to no mention of financial aid details that are vital to the economic success of podiatry students." More from this Member | Report Response

"One of my faculty interviewers was unnecessarily negative and rude during my interview. She also looked unprepared and was shuffling through my file looking for questions to ask me." More from this Member | Report Response

"They spoke that there is a great partnership with MD students but the DPM students did not really agree with this." More from this Member | Report Response

"Facility seemed somewhat outdated." More from this Member | Report Response

"The clinic." More from this Member | Report Response

"Some students seemed unfriendly and snobby." More from this Member | Report Response

"The builidings were a little old, but that is seriously it. I was really impressed." More from this Member | Report Response

"The area right around the school" More from this Member | Report Response

"North Chicago isn't exactly the most exciting town, nor is the campus the most beautiful place I've ever visited. Other than that, however, I can't think of anything negative to say." More from this Member | Report Response

"Nothing :)" More from this Member | Report Response

"anatomy lab looked dated, anatomy and histology (?) programs could only be accessed on campus or in the student apartments " More from this Member | Report Response

"I found the lack of interest on the part of my interviewer to be somewhat of a negative outlook. If my interview, the one who is trying to get a feel for me before entering the school, doesn't show interest... what are the other professors like? Are they the same as he/she was?" More from this Member | Report Response

"Weather. Anatomy with 200 other MD students. " More from this Member | Report Response

"When I walked into the building I was lost and a student asked where I was going. I told him and he proceeded to tell me this was a better school than another I was interviewing at. Just hit me as odd to be the first person I talked, but he was just a student, not representative of the admission committee." More from this Member | Report Response

"The proximity to Chicago and the fact that the METRA sucks." More from this Member | Report Response

"Wasn't able to talk to any students" More from this Member | Report Response

"Not as integrated with MD students as DMU is with DO students. Remember North Chicago is NOT Chicago. In fact, it is a 45 minute drive to the city on an outstanding traffic day." More from this Member | Report Response

"My interviewer scared the crap out of me as in he looked very intimidating...but he turned out to be easy going." More from this Member | Report Response

"My interviewer didnt read my file beforehand. This did take some pressure off though." More from this Member | Report Response

"none that i think." More from this Member | Report Response

"Kind of small." More from this Member | Report Response

"It was all positive but it was a very LONG day" More from this Member | Report Response

"Faculty member I interviewed with was very coarse, flippantly reviewed my file during the interview, and seemed overall disinterested. " More from this Member | Report Response

"The location is an boring burb about 45 minutes from Chicago. Not to say there are lack of patients to be seen during clinical or that the facility wasn't very good, but just nothing there entertainment wise." More from this Member | Report Response

"The tour was forever!!! I did get in on my interview date, but if I hadn't and ended up not getting in I would have been annoyed with how much time I wasted walking around the school." More from this Member | Report Response

"All they talked about was money. If you can't get a residency we've got money for a "residency genesis" program. This does not speak well for your curriculum. One the tour they had grades posted on a board and the a majority of the class had failed the last three tests. The accept you on the spot. They don't even wait to see if more qualified applicants exist. The gave scholarships to everyone. One of the other interviewers with a low GPA and MCAT score (he admitted his stats to me) not only was accepted he got a scholarship. Do they have no standards? Cost of living is high. Great new facilities but they left the amazing clinic in downtown Chicago for the suburbs. Big mistake! Average boards scores." More from this Member | Report Response

"Nothing" More from this Member | Report Response

What did you wish you had known ahead of time?

"The structure of interview day." More from this Member | Report Response

"if the earliest interview date is far way, you can call and request an earlier one and they will put you on a waiting list in case anyone cancels" More from this Member | Report Response

"That the interviewers would ONLY be concerned about my grades. Although openly I addressed issues in my academic history, one interviewer kept going back to this issue multiple times during the interview. Did not seem at all interested in learning about my interest in podiatry or anything other than grades." More from this Member | Report Response

"i noticed while i was waiting to be interviewed that my pants were a little short. wish i had known that before." More from this Member | Report Response

"The interview was very relaxed and easy. no difficult questions" More from this Member | Report Response

"How in detail they get into your application." More from this Member | Report Response

"That the interview and entire interview day is very relaxed." More from this Member | Report Response

"How stress-free the interview actually was." More from this Member | Report Response

"It was much more laid back than I thought it would be. There was no need to stress over it. It was more about "why you should attend Scholl", not "why should we acccept you" (although that was obviously addressed)." More from this Member | Report Response

"eat a bigger breakfast-we had lunch pretty late" More from this Member | Report Response

"That the whole interview process was so relaxed. I know you read that a lot on the interview feedbacks, but its true. Also, I would like to have known my interviewer might act like he/she did. Took me somewhat by surprise." More from this Member | Report Response

"Lunch is around 12:45, should've prepared a snack. " More from this Member | Report Response

"When they say arrive by 9:30am, you should be there around 9:00am in actuality. " More from this Member | Report Response

"That med students were interviewing at the same time." More from this Member | Report Response

"Even though the students work hard, they are also more "active" and fun than a lot of students from MD programs, with lots of social events and intramural sports. Freaking crazy drivers, I felt like I was going to die on my shuttle trip from the airport to my hotel, the guy was going 80 on the shoulder!!!" More from this Member | Report Response

"That the interviews were first thing in the morning. It was so nice to have it out of the way and to be able to enjoy the tours." More from this Member | Report Response

"The school is not really close to Chicago, rather a very boring burb" More from this Member | Report Response

"The traffic on the road. it was too heavy." More from this Member | Report Response

"I wish I knew more of their process. That is what I am trying to help you with here." More from this Member | Report Response

"Location is not downtown but actually in the suburbs (45 min North of downtown area)" More from this Member | Report Response

"I only wish I didnt waste me time with all the other schools except the Philly school. That was the only other school I would consider." More from this Member | Report Response

"The my interview would be shorter, 20ish minutes. I totally though there were at least a half hour to an hour long, so I thought I might have done something wrong." More from this Member | Report Response

"I wish I would have know that they have low standards." More from this Member | Report Response

"How laid back the interview would be." More from this Member | Report Response

What are your general comments?

"There are pros and cons to having the interview at the end of the day. I would prefer getting it over with earlier so that we could relax for the remainder of the day." More from this Member | Report Response

"loved it" More from this Member | Report Response

"Schedule the interview at the beginning of the day, not at the end." More from this Member | Report Response

"The school was okay but I did not feel strongly connected to the students or program. It was one of my first interviews and was good practice. The cafeteria was nice and they had sushi at the time. I left the interview knowing that I would not attend this school if accepted." More from this Member | Report Response

"The school is so nice, updated, and the people are great." More from this Member | Report Response

"Loved this school and interview day really helped make my decision" More from this Member | Report Response

"Only suggestion is to start and end the day a couple hours earlier. It makes it easier on those trying to make it to a flight, and keeps us out of rush hour traffic." More from this Member | Report Response

"great school, interview persuaded me to end up going there in the fall" More from this Member | Report Response

"Great school" More from this Member | Report Response

"The school has adopted a vision of fostering interprofessional cooperation and has classes that allows different healthcare professions to interact and have cross talk. I believe this is a wonderful step that will lead to a more holistic approach to medicine and result in better care for patients." More from this Member | Report Response

"Overall a great day but we had to wait a long time for interviews which were at the end of the day and then some people had to wait 40 minutes to an hour while doing nothing for their interview." More from this Member | Report Response

"Loved the school. Very beautiful and the interview was pleasant. Come prepared and relaxed. The day is quite fun." More from this Member | Report Response

"Great school. Personally, I think Scholl is the best podiatry out there. Solid pre-clinical curriculum and a lot more rotation opportunities compared to any other schools." More from this Member | Report Response

"really great first interview. hopefully it'll be my last as i found out if i got accepted soon!" More from this Member | Report Response

"Great school!" More from this Member | Report Response

"Great school and a very relaxed interview process." More from this Member | Report Response

"Relax and be yourself. The interviewers don't try to trip you up with their questions - very informal. Also, we ate around 12:15 so plan breakfast accordingly." More from this Member | Report Response

"Overall a great experience. Highly recommended school." More from this Member | Report Response

"Overall, the whole interview was good. I was impressed by the campus itself, the students themselves, and the atmosphere in which I could possibly be learning in the future. I would recommend this school to others looking at Scholl as a possibilty." More from this Member | Report Response

"Great school, academically and socially. Great impression of the professors and the atmosphere of the students seemed like they were chill but also hardworking. " More from this Member | Report Response

"Very relaxed and more of a conversation. Just be prepared to elaborate on your answers, but also to give a willing and listening ear." More from this Member | Report Response

"Simply and easy interviews. You arent looked down upon or anything. Interviews are laid back, so just relax and be yourself. IF YOU ARE AN INTERNATIONAL STUDENT: (even Canada). Please submit your transcript to WES ASAP. " More from this Member | Report Response

"Mandy, the recruiting director, was wonderful; very nice and approachable. Everyone from the staff to the doctors to the students were very friendly and approachable. My interviewer seemed somewhat intimidating, but he put me at ease during the interview. Just be friendly and be yourself and you'll do fine." More from this Member | Report Response

"Just be yourself. They normally look at your upper level classes and put a lot of emphasis on the grades there! Make sure you have explanation for anything unusual on the trascripts/application. " More from this Member | Report Response

"Overall, one of the least stressful interviews I've had, with very easy and friendly faculty. The tour showed most of campus, including clinical and academic facilities, but not student housing. Free lunch =D" More from this Member | Report Response

"The day started with group introduction to the recruiting director and the dean of students, interviews, tour of clinic and grounds by recruiting director, tours by 2nd year students, lunch, and then a wrap up session with admissions. They seem to try to make it as least stressful as possible." More from this Member | Report Response

"I was excepted that day, however the interviewer seemed to second guess everything I said then put down all the other schools" More from this Member | Report Response

"great experience. the interview was relaxed and more of a conversation. loved the tour of the facilities by the student ambassadors. they were very willing to share information and make you feel comfortable." More from this Member | Report Response

"interview experience was good. This was my first interview so I can't compare it to anything. " More from this Member | Report Response

"Good, my interviewer made the session seem more like a talk rather than question and answer." More from this Member | Report Response

"Positive experience." More from this Member | Report Response

"The day started off with Mandy going over the curriculum. We had the interview at 10:30am. My interviewer was cool but was intimidating at first. I didnt know how well I did from that interview so I was surprised later when I was told that the committee met while I was touring the campus and I was accepted with a scholarship. Now it is hard for me to choose between this school or Temple where I was also accepted. Both have great qualities to them." More from this Member | Report Response

"It was very encouraging and the school is great." More from this Member | Report Response

"Went into a room with admin person and talked about the history of Scholl and RFU, also talked about the curriculum. Had the interview, was very relaxed. There were 3 applicants and we each got a different interviewer. After that, we talked to someone in the CLEAR program. Then went on a short tour of the grounds. Got back and went on a tour in the main buildings with 2 students. Had lunch. Went back to see the admin person, and she talked with us to tell us where we stand with Scholl. I thought that was nice to let us know in person what they think your chances are. Honesty, liked that." More from this Member | Report Response

"It was a normal interview with regular questions. Nothing suprising." More from this Member | Report Response

"Overall, positive. I only wish I knew my status sooner. It will be almost a month until I know. I think they meet once a month." More from this Member | Report Response

"I was very impressed with Scholl's interview process compared to the other interviews I had already attended." More from this Member | Report Response

"Basically, just knowing why I wanted to be a DPM made me very prepared for the interview. Of course this inheiriently (sp?) involves knowing what being a DPM intails and that of course prepares you for other questions. Basically, if you can show you want to be there, they will accept you. Everyone that interviewed with me was told at the end of the day that they were accepted." More from this Member | Report Response

"My interview was good. A little long, but I really liked the people I met and fell in love with the school. " More from this Member | Report Response

"I didn't like the school. The student tour guide was talking smach about fellow students and faculty. The interview was nothing of the sort. The bragged about how great they are in my opinion podiatric medicine was left them behind. The school was great. The key word is was." More from this Member | Report Response
