What do you like most about this school?

"Faculty is amazing." | Report Response

"High quality lectures, high quality instructors" | Report Response

"The professors are truly amazing. They care for their students and it shows in their devotion to the curriculum. The quality of the education is top notch. The flipped classroom with lectures that are recorded gives you the ability to watch videos as many times as you would like and is an amazing resource even after classes are over for board prep." | Report Response

"The basic science curriculum is phenomenol" | Report Response

"The professors actually care about how we're doing in class, and in life. They will take the time to approach us and help us out with whatever we need. They are also really focused on making this a great school, so we hear day after day "this will be on your boards!" They don't waste our time making us learn things that we just don't need to know yet. Also, since we are still new, we actually have a role in changing how the school is run via initializing policy change." | Report Response

"At every turn, the school seems truly dedicated to their students." | Report Response

"The faculty and facilities are top of the line" | Report Response

What do you like least about this school?

"Administration is not the nicest.." | Report Response

"I wish we had a nicer campus" | Report Response

"The administration can be difficult. It is sometimes hard to make changes in certain aspects of the school such as clicker grading and the mandatory attendance policy. While we are not in class for many hours a day, it would be nice to be able to change the clicker policy, which has not yet happened. The administration can seem to be stuck in their ways, but I think that is possible with any school." | Report Response

"Administrative support" | Report Response

"The OMM department could use a little work. They're not too cohesive with each other, and it comes out in the teaching." | Report Response

"$2000-$3000 acceptance fees" | Report Response

"The administration can be unresponsive to the needs of individuals, despite strong responsiveness to group intercessions to them. Individual n complaints are too often put on back burner to continue to follow their educational plan unchanged (unless complaints are organized through formal group channels like the SGA)" | Report Response

Please provide any other general comments on your school

"This is a solid program, the instructors are outstanding. I feel like I am getting a high quality education here." | Report Response

"The camaraderie between students is powerful. There is never a feeling of extreme competition between students as the grading is designed in a particular way to foster team learning. Notes are shared as are study practices between students of the same year as well as the years ahead. Students provide reviews for the year below which is extremely helpful." | Report Response

"They truly do engage each student during teaching lectures to assure you are getting every possible question answered." | Report Response

What is the grading scale used during pre-clinical years?

"a,b,c" | Report Response

"A, B, C, F" | Report Response

"The grading system is very different than any other school and quite complex. It is a z score system. You are scored as a standard deviation of the mean of the 3 classes before you. This is a benefit to the students in that you are not competitive amongst classmates. You can always see your raw score on exams to see how many questions you missed. It is somewhat easy to get a B in a course but difficult to get an A. Grades are given as A, B, C, F. So it is somewhat similar to other schools High pass, pass, low pass, fail." | Report Response

"Traditional grading system based Z-Score compared to previous class averages" | Report Response

"Z-score based. In percentage terms, roughly a 65% is passing for each class" | Report Response
