"School goes way out of it's way to make sure the students are as happy as possible. While we pay a ton for tuition we do get a lot of amazingly planed events with lots of free booze." | Report Response

"As far as I can tell there is no other school that provides as many leadership and clinical opportunities to first and second year students. Also, the pass/fail system means that you can enjoy your classmates and your surroundings without having to constantly scrounge for extra points." | Report Response

"The "non-competetive environment" is real here. Even the would-be gunners realize that no one is out to challenge them. You'll spend a lot of your time working hard. You'll also spend a lot of your time just having fun." | Report Response

"Lottery based but all core rotations have to be taken in the same order 3rd year. We are done in May with 3rd year though so plenty of elective time." | Report Response

"Clinical rotations are scheduled in a specific sequence, like a wheel. Where you start on the sequence is determined by your preferences, which are ranked before the end of second year. Medicine, Family Med, Ob/Gyn, Surgery, Peds, and Psych/Neuro are the core rotations but we also have some other requirements like EM and ambulatory medicine to be completed during 4th year." | Report Response

"Brand new university medical center opened recently and VA about to open. Other great academic and private hospitals that we rotate at as well by preference." | Report Response

"University Hospital has been built but not yet opened, which has negatively impacted the quality of education currently offered. Things will vastly improve when it is opened, hopefully by 2016." | Report Response

"Most med students stay in New Orleans to work with impoverished, under-served patients, and this is generally something all of us specifically chose when looking at schools. There is a small program in Baton Rouge where the patients are more varied." | Report Response
