What are your suggestions for the admissions office?

"It would be nice if they had paired up the interviewers/interviewees based on what we had written in our personal statements. They had someone interviewing who focuses on veterinary pharmacy (what I wrote my entire essay on + what I want to do) but they didn't have him interview me." More from this Member | Report Response

"Just review your pharmcas application; specifically your personal statement. Prepare a CV and a cover letter stating why you want to go to UNE and what you personally can provide to the college of pharmacy. I did all these things and my interviewers where very impressed. Also, before you interview try to picture yourself as a pharmacist and how you would interact w/ other pharmacist, nurses, patients, and doctors. My interviewers seemed very interested w/ my experience as a hospital pharmacy tech and how I interacted w/ nurses, patients, and doctors. Also, if you are interested in research mention it in both your cover letter and the interview. Also, try to be specific as to what type of research you are interesed in, why, and how it can benefit the profession and patients overall." "Why UNE?" More from this Member | Report Response | I was asked this question too

"What made you decide to pursue "pharmacy" as a profession? This was the main bulk of the interview which if you're passionate about the career and the future of it, then this is a no-brainer. Just answer truthfully and be confident in your responses." More from this Member | Report Response | I was asked this question too

About the LizzyM Score

LizzyM, SDN Moderator and medical school admissions committee member, is the inventor of the LizzyM Score. The score allows you to see if you are a competitive applicant at a given school. If your LizzyM Score is far below or above the average, you may not be a good fit. If your score is far below, your application may be screened out due to numerical cutoffs. If it is far above, the school may assume they are your “safety” school and that you won’t attend if they offer an acceptance. This score should be used only as a guide to help you select schools and is not a guarantee of acceptance at any school. If you use this as your sole criteria to select medical schools to apply to, you don’t deserve to get in anyway.
