What do you like most?

"Incredible access to world-class teaching, every resource made available to succeed" | Report Response

"The resources the school allots you to succeed, rotations and the faculty." | Report Response

"Friendly, knowledgable faculty. Amazing camaraderie among classmates. Great resources. Located near Washington, D.C. and next to a major teaching hospital (Walter Reed)" | Report Response

"Emphasis on independent decision making, ability to travel the country for clerkships, ability to serve and outstanding patient population" | Report Response

"The curriculum focuses on "hands-on" learning experiences which allow students to get proficient at physical exam skills and basic procedures. The University teaches integrated clinical skills from the very beginning and clinical exposure starts midway during the 2nd year. The university has all students perform ACLS training twice, and all students must perform ATLS once." | Report Response

What do you like least?

"Nothing" | Report Response

"N/A." | Report Response

"Early lecture hours. Library is small" | Report Response

"Too many students in it for a free education and not dedicated to their commitment as officers. This isn't pervasive, but a few bad apples spoil the bunch." | Report Response

"The school's parking situation was problematic. I know that new parking garages were being built on the Walter Reed Campus as I was ready to graduate so this issue may have improved since I left." | Report Response

What are the facilities and clinics like (old/new, well maintained, etc.)?

"Old but well maintained" | Report Response

"The lecture halls were old but were well maintained. Clinical facilities were brand new and were also very well maintained." | Report Response

How do students from this program do after graduation - are they adequately prepared for practice?

"100%. I felt better prepared for internship than the majority of my co-interns. This is a GREAT School that produces well above average clinical doctors" | Report Response

"Military match generally very beneficial to students" | Report Response

"USU graduates typically outperform their fellow residents within the military healthcare system because they typically have more clinical exposure/experience than other graduates and the university prepares graduates to present and organize clinical data in a concise way." | Report Response

What are rotations like?

"All over the country! Lot of flexibility as an ms4" | Report Response

"5" | Report Response

"The third year core clerkship rotations were challenging and demanding: medical students were expected to work as an “intern” on the team and manage patients under the supervision of a resident. These clerkship rotations were performed at military medical centers throughout the US from Honolulu, Hawaii to Washington DC. Many students rotate at 3 different medical centers in three different states. Students are exposed to different cultures and patient populations within the US - something few medical schools offer." | Report Response

How do students from this program do in the Match?

"A+" | Report Response

"All colleagues that I worked closely with matched into their 1st choice speciality." | Report Response

Any other information you want to share?

"On the eve of graduation I feel prepared to crush residency, get out and take care of soldiers practicing good medicine in bad places." | Report Response

"USU is an excellent medical school. Throughout 3rd and 4th year clerkships, I felt prepared to evaluate and treat patients. In addition, I was never concerned about working with staff physicians as a medical student because the university teaches students how to properly present patient cases. Since I have traveled all over the country to perform clinical rotations, I have had the opportunity to work with medical students from many medical schools (both MD and DO) which allowed me to gain different perspectives on how medicine is taught and practiced." | Report Response
