"Really great opportunities for research. The school has good NIH funding. The numbers and rankings they threw at us were pretty impressive, too." Report Response

What impressed you negatively?

"The lack of diversity in the class, the shallow arts and culture of Dallas, confederate flag decals on cars, and let's not forget the homophobic comments that the med students made. It also depressed me that fellow interviewees were laughing at the homophobic comments. My jaw hit the floor. I'm a democratic pro-choice atheist ethnic minority who went to school up North, and I felt really out of place. I'm sure there are people like me there, but they weren't the students that the school planted to talk to us. " Report Response

"That I wasn't going to fit into the class. I matched here, and there's a good chance I'm going to attend, but I'm expecting to be the black sheep of the student body. " Report Response
