What impressed you positively?

"The interviewers were really nice. It seemed like they wanted me to feel comfortable during the interview. There was also a lot of time for the prospective students to talk with current students, who were very eager to help answer any questions." Report Response

What impressed you negatively?

"The whole med school consists of one very run down building. Aside from the interview, most of the day was a complete waste of time. Although our tour guide was very nice, the tour was terrible. Most of the time we were just wandering around the building getting in everyone's way. The tour guide was so confused- it felt like she was just trying to distract us for an hour by dragging us up and down the elevator in the same building we were in all day. This was especially annoying since I didn't interview until 4, so they basically wasted my time all day before that with really pointless stuff." Report Response

What did you wish you had known ahead of time?

"There weren't really any surprises" Report Response

What are your general comments?

"Overall the day was kind of annoying, but the actual interview was great so I can't really complain. UIC isn't a bad school, but the day could have been organized a little more efficiently. Despite all the negatives, I would still consider going to UIC med school since I did get a sense that the students still got a decent med school education." Report Response
