"friendliness of students. everyone who interviews at a texas school should really stay with a student host. i did, and mine was amazingly hospitable. this way you also get a real peek into a life of a medical student at that particular school. also, the opportunity " Report Response

What impressed you negatively?

"unless you are married, have a family, or have any other pressing reason to remain in lubbock for all four years, you can be sure that you will be moving to either el paso or amarillo for years 3 and 4. if you are single and are not prepared to move out of lubbock after 2 years then you should consider this before making your decision to go there" Report Response

"nothing really. lubbock is a small town and west texas definitely feels like a different world coming from houston." Report Response

What are your general comments?

"if you are really into working with border health issues and low-income communities, the opportunity to go to el paso sounds like an amazing experience for years 3 and 4. the downside is that you will have to move, but after being in lubbock for 2 years, you will probably want to move out anyway."
