What impressed you positively?

"The location of the school and the didactic and clinical aspects of the program. The area was beautiful and the Farmington vally is very much a quant New England town. I also liked the fact that there are not multiple classes during the first 2 years; you have a learning block of time with the medical students from 9-12 but that means you don't have different teachers and different tests competing for your time- just one test every 5-6 weeks. you start clinical stuff your first year and they don't have the numbers requirement for procedures that you see at some other schools. " Report Response

What impressed you negatively?

"Bless his heart but Dr. Thibathou talked for 3 hours straight. It didn't negitively impress me, I just wasn't prepared to sit for that long. At some points I felt like I as in a college lecture scrambling to take notes and trying not to day-dream." Report Response

What did you wish you had known ahead of time?

"How great the program is and how nice the surrounding area is. I wasn't prepared for how much I was going to like the school!" Report Response

What are your general comments?

"Hardest interview by far, but one of the nicer interview days. The actual interview wasn't hard in a bad way (everybody was very friendly) but I would make sure to know your application like the back of your hand; my interviewer certainly did. I also felt like I had to sell myself as a "UConn student" during the interview. As someone on here said before- if you get an interview you're going to be a good dentist, it is just whether or not you fit with UConn. Overall, I really enjoyed the experience." Report Response
