What is one of the specific questions they asked you (question 1)?

"Why did you choose the profession you are in? If you caught a fellow student doing drugs, what would you do? If you caught a fellow student with a hangover, what would you do?" Report Response | I was asked this question too

What is one of the specific questions they asked you (question 2)?

"Tell us about the science research you did (10 years ago). Why DO? Why Western? Where will you attend? What would you do to improve Western." Report Response | I was asked this question too

What is one of the specific questions they asked you (question 3)?

"Do you have any questions for us? I asked about their experiences at Western. They told me that it's a fairly new school. It used to be just a DO school. Then, more and more disciplines were added: nursing, public health, veterinary." Report Response | I was asked this question too

What was the most interesting question?

"What's an ethical issue that you've been studying? (I said Stem Cell research, gave my opinion. I got a long soliloquy from my interviewer who was an embryologist and staunch supporter of embryonic research)" Report Response | I was asked this question too

How did you prepare for the interview?

"SDN, application, news" Report Response

What impressed you positively?

"The president of the school came over and said "hi"" Report Response

What impressed you negatively?

"The students claimed that security guards walk them to their cars at night." Report Response

What did you wish you had known ahead of time?

"I read that students from every discipline of health at the school would work together, but they really don't. The basic science courses are crammed into the first semester, so it makes for a hard first semester. After that, students start dealing with assessments of the human body. It was finals week, so we didn't get a chance to talk with the MS I's. Western professors don't do research." Report Response

What are your general comments?

"We all meet in the morning, get the low down on the school. They brought us Subway sandwiches and two MS II's came and talked about their lives. Afterwards, we toured the facilities and inteviewed with two professors (PhD's NOT DO's)" Report Response
