"The University of Iowa has fantastic medical facilities and the staff and administration really want the students to succeed. I love that they stress humanism in medicine so much." Report Response

"Iowa is pretty empty. The sheer flatness of the land is difficult to get used to if you're not from the midwest. " Report Response

"The school has a program where they will set up housing for you with a current medical school student, but I didn't know this until three days before my interview." Report Response

What are your general comments?

"The University of Iowa is a fantastic place. Iowa was a little disconcerting to me at first because it's very sparsely poplulated in comparison to other places I've lived. Nonetheless, everyone that I met was incredibly nice and the faculty and staff were no exception. The University really stresses that patients are humans first and that a good doctor's job always involves more than simply diagnosing a disease. They have a brand new medical research building which is really nice and the hospitals they're affiliated with are fantastic. My interviewers did their best to make sure that I was relaxed and were very friendly. " Report Response
