"SDN, Googled online tips, AACPM, and took interview seminars at my college." Report Response

What impressed you positively?

"The facilities are top notch. Every student is given a new dell template computer, as well as a PDA going into their 3rd year of clinical rotations. The anatomy lab is fantastic because each cadaver table has a television. Everyone was very friendly and willing to answer my questions. I especially like the research opportunities that students could get involved in as a 2nd year onwards." Report Response

What impressed you negatively?

"The location is the only thing that is a negative. Des Moines gets pretty cool; however, when I interviewed, it was 74 degrees! That's unheard of for late February, early March." Report Response

What did you wish you had known ahead of time?

"I wish I would have known that the interview was going to be less conversational and more question and answer. I have prepare myself a little differently otherwise." Report Response

What are your general comments?

"Compared to the other institutions I have visited, Des Moines appears to be a big city with a small town feel. The area around the school is beautiful. The cost of living isn't nearly as expensive as say, New York City or Phoenix. " Report Response
