What was the most interesting question?

"Ethics: Physician assisted suicide scenario. After the interview, the doctor told me his father had suffered for two weeks in hospice care before dying because the doctor was afraid to prescribe too much pain medication. I was really happy about the way I answered, and that I stuck with my convictions when he criticized me." Report Response | I was asked this question too

How did you prepare for the interview?

"Read through Utah's website. Researched all recent news on them (ex.. they just cut a bunch of medical student seats because of loss of funding). Educated myself about current health issues." Report Response

"Their facilities are brand new/awesome. Opportunities abroad." Report Response

What impressed you negatively?

"Their interviews were not very challenging. Maybe one hard question per interview. The rest was very scripted and generic; made it hard to stand out. Also lack of diversity in Utah." Report Response

What did you wish you had known ahead of time?

What are your general comments?

"Awesome quality of education/amazing recreation opportunities...But you also have to live in Salt Lake. I felt I had more in common with med students at other schools. The students seemed anxious to get their degree and get out." Report Response
